System of a Down has officially announced an anniversary edition reissue of their legendary album Toxicity. The band is also releasing a merchandise collection to mark this major milestone. The original Toxicity album came out on September 4 2001. It has since become a defining moment in rock music.
The Toxicity Anniversary Reissue
The reissue comes in updated CD and vinyl formats with features that fans will appreciate. The CD version has cover artwork and now properly credits the traditional Armenian hymn track that fans long called "Arto." Its now officially listed as "Der Voghormia" on the release. The vinyl version is pressed on color vinyl and includes a bonus 7-inch single with the track "Johnny " a song that was once only available in rare versions of the original album.
Toxicity 25th Anniversary Merchandise
Alongside the music the band has launched a merchandise capsule. This includes a reprint of the T-shirt that was given out at the release party. The same one from the event that was shut down by police. The collection also features novelty items like "Chop Suey!" inspired Chinese takeout earrings, compact mirrors and ashtrays. Fans can also get branded skate decks and new styles of T-shirts and hoodies.
