Battle Round Highlight: 'Bring Me to Life'
Team Adam teammates Dakota Cohen and Destinee Monroe brought rock energy to NBC's The Voice during their Monday night matchup, taking on Evanescence's 2000s hit.
The Battle Performance & Coach Feedback
Both singers brought distinct rock influences to the stage. Cohen delivered impressive high notes, while Monroe showcased strong stage presence and powerful vocals. The performance had coach Queen Latifah headbanging in her seat.
"That was just incredible. What y'all really just did with it is just perform the hell out of it. You embodied the song, you rocked with each other, you nailed all the notes and then some."
— Queen Latifah
Country coach Riley Green highlighted the crowd's enthusiastic reaction, noting that Monroe looked ready for a massive rock concert stage while praising Cohen's big vocal moments. Kelly Clarkson pointed out the contrast between Monroe's strong opening verse and Cohen's tender, nuanced approach, adding that she leaned slightly toward Cohen.
Coach Adam Levine commended both artists, comparing elements of Cohen's voice to Miley Cyrus while praising Monroe's raw vocal power.
