The Neighbourhood Returns With Massive Global Arena Tour Following Hiatus

After an indefinite hiatus, alt-rock band The Neighbourhood has returned to the music scene with a bang in the form of their globe-trotting 'Wourld Tour'. The huge enterprise marks the band's first headlining tour in seven years, and they're set to play to capacity crowds in arenas across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The venture comes on the heels of the release of the band's fifth studio album (((((ultraSOUND))))) , the first since they re-united three years and six months after their break-up. Featuring lead singer Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott and drummer Brandon Fried, this Southern California-based band has seen their popularity explode to a degree not seen in their almost 15 years together.

Global Arena Conquest and Multiple Nights in One City

Live Nation presents this worldwide trek, which has seen the group sell out the Madison Square Garden in New York City (earning more than $1.4 million), and the O2 Arena in London, England. The band has also seen massive popularity in their home state of California, leading to the addition of multiple shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, with three sold-out nights set for October 9, December 4 and December 5.

The band's global tour also includes stops in arenas in Istanbul, Prague, Berlin, Paris, Manchester, Milan, Sydney, and a rare rock show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Streaming Explosion and Reproduction of Past Music Catalogue

While the band's music has seen a tremendous explosion on both streaming services and social media during their time away, it's their early breakout single, "Sweater Weather", that has become a viral hit and is set to hit 5 billion streams. With more than 47 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the band's catalog of hits including "Afraid", and "A Little Death" from their debut I Love You., and "Daddy Issues" and "The Beach" from Wiped Out! , continue to see massive popularity.

Back to the Arenas and Commitment to a Live Audience

The Neighbourhood has invested heavily in staging their return to the live arenas, refusing to be content with just online streams. Having played small clubs around California and opened for acts like Passion Pit, The Temper Trap and Animal Kingdom in 2012 and 2013, the band sees this next chapter as an exciting new step in their evolution.
