A Special Announcement
Lexia recalled feeling a mix of shock and excitement upon discovering the news, noting that the reality will fully set in once the baby arrives. Scott was performing on tour when Lexia suspected she was pregnant, choosing to wait until he returned home so they could take the test together. After confirming the positive result with several tests over the following days, they broke the news to close friends, family, and Scott's Parmalee bandmates.
To announce the pregnancy publicly, the couple released photos showcasing two distinct themes. One concept featured a backstage environment with road cases to honor their shared connection to the music industry and their initial meeting on the road in 2019, when Lexia worked on Parmalee's management team.
A Full-Circle Moment
A second set of portraits placed the focus on a meaningful graphic tee worn by Lexia. The shirt originates from a fundraiser held 16 years ago in 2010, following a traumatic armed robbery and shootout in South Carolina after a Parmalee performance. Scott was shot three times during the incident, given a 5% chance of survival, and spent 10 days in a coma. The fundraiser shirt represents the surrounding support system of family, friends, and fans who helped Scott and the band during his recovery.
Incorporating the shirt into the announcement served as a tribute to surviving that life-altering moment and coming full circle to welcome new life.
Family Life and Touring Plans
The upcoming arrival comes as the couple prepares to celebrate six years together this October. Scott and Lexia previously tied the knot in Las Vegas at A Little White Wedding Chapel on October 12, 2020.
Two baby showers are planned ahead of the birth, with the first taking place in North Carolina with Scott's family and a second event scheduled in Nashville later in the fall. Parmalee has performances scheduled through February 2027, but the band will take a break between December and January so Scott and Lexia can welcome their son. Afterward, the couple intends to bring their baby boy on the road during future tour dates.
