Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden have officially unveiled two special physical music releases: a massive 50th anniversary color vinyl box set highlighting their classic era and a standalone 40th anniversary reissue of Somewhere in Time.
The extensive box set, titled 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980 – 1992, collects the band's first nine studio albums on custom colored vinyl featuring 2015 remasters. Fans can also look forward to an individual color vinyl release celebrating four decades of their sixth studio record.
50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection
Set to arrive on December 11th, the 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980 – 1992 covers the exact run of albums currently featured on the band's live tour. Each of the nine included studio albums comes on its own specially colored vinyl, packaged in a box with custom-designed artwork and utilizing 2015 remasters. An Amazon-exclusive variant will also be offered, which includes a special anniversary poster.

Alongside the comprehensive box set, Iron Maiden is releasing a standalone 40th anniversary color vinyl edition of Somewhere in Time on December 4th. Pressed on oxblood color vinyl, this release honors their sixth studio album. Amazon will also carry a special variant that comes with a full sleeve poster.
Run For Your Lives Tour
The announcement coincides with Iron Maiden's active “Run For Your Lives” tour, which celebrates their first nine studio albums. Thrash metal veterans Megadeth and Anthrax are providing support on the tour.
