Why Oasis Added a 2027 Tour as Noel Gallagher Rules Out New Studio Music
Any doubts regarding how the Gallagher brothers got along during their 2025 Oasis reunion can be set aside. Speaking with talkSPORT in the UK, guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher explained that the group resolved to launch a 2027 tour early into their initial reunion run.
According to Gallagher, the decision came following their second performance at Wembley Stadium in July 2025. Reflecting on the atmosphere during the early stage of the tour, he noted that the group was having a great time, asking “why wouldn’t” they tour again.
Decision Behind the 2027 Dates
“Nobody really knew what was going to happen or how it was going to go,” Gallagher stated. “So we did Cardiff and Manchester, then by the time we got to Wembley somebody said ‘Well, you know?’ and it was decided we were going to do it.”
Gallagher shared that additional European dates were necessary due to fan support over the years across different countries. Meanwhile, North American stops in Boston and Las Vegas were arranged quickly once the 2027 tour plans were established. Oasis officially announced the 2027 dates on September 14th, with tickets made available via Ticketmaster.
Status on New Music & Future Plans
While concert dates continue to expand, fans expecting new studio material received a definitive response from Gallagher. He firmly dismissed any prospects of recording, stating, “There won’t be any new music.”
However, when asked whether Oasis might continue performing beyond 2027, Gallagher kept the option open with a simple response: “I don’t know.”
In addition to the tour news, the band’s documentary, Don’t Look Back in Anger, which chronicles their 2025 comeback shows, opened in theaters on September 11th. A digital release on Disney+ and Hulu is slated to follow later in the year.
