Weezer is hitting the road with "Weezer: The Gathering," a 32-date American arena tour set to begin this fall. The band will be joined on the tour by The Shins and Silversun Pickups as support acts across the American leg.
This tour comes at a time for Weezer as it coincides with the release of their 16th studio album, the self-titled Weezer also known as The Gold Album. This record is a moment for the group because it’s the first time since their 1994 debut that all four members—Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner—have written and recorded together in the same room.
The upcoming tour marks Weezer’s full North American tour since the 2024 "Voyage to the Blue Planet" trek, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Blue Album. In the weeks leading up to the album Weezer shared a few tracks, including the singles "Shine Again " "We Might As Well Be Strangers" (featuring Karly Hartzman of Wednesday) and "C.E.O."
The North American leg kicks off on September 8th in Sacramento. The band will travel through cities such as San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Nashville and Austin. The tour wraps up in Los Angeles on October 24th.
In 2027 Weezer will head overseas bringing the tour to Japan, Ireland, the UK and continental Europe. Taking Back Sunday will be the opening act, for the dates.
