The University of Tennessee football team debuted a new fourth-quarter anthem at Neyland Stadium, honoring the late East Tennessee legend Dolly Parton with her classic 1973 song “My Tennessee Mountain Home.”
The track officially replaces Morgan Wallen’s “The Way I Talk” during the fourth-quarter break, serving as part of a series of tributes by the school following Parton's passing at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer.
A New Fourth-Quarter Tradition at Neyland Stadium
During their game against Furman, the Tennessee Volunteers officially unveiled “My Tennessee Mountain Home” as their new fourth-quarter anthem. The song was originally the title track to Parton’s 1973 album, which famously featured a photo of the one-room cabin where she grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee.
The musical change highlighted a dominant day on the field for the Volunteers, who secured a 56-9 victory over Furman.
