Country music icon Tim McGraw created a memory for a young fan during a recent concert on Tim McGraw’s 2026 Pawn Shop Guitar Tour. Tim McGraw presented a signed guitar to a child named Finn after an onstage conversation that included an impromptu singing performance and a nod to fellow artist Luke Combs.

A Special Onstage Tradition

Throughout Tim McGraw’s tour Tim McGraw and his team visit a local pawn shop in every tour city to buy a guitar. Tim McGraw signs the instrument. Gives it to a child in the audience hoping to motivate young fans to learn an instrument and grow a lifelong love for music.

During a stop Tim McGraw invited Finn closer to the stage and handed Finn the microphone. Finn was given a chance to speak or sing whatever Finn liked and Finn immediately sang a lines of Tim McGraw’s 1997 hit "Where The Green Grass Grows," which drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

Inspiration from Luke Combs

Before receiving the instrument Finn told Tim McGraw that Finn knew Tim McGraw was friends with Luke Combs. Seeing Finn’s excitement for Luke Combs Tim McGraw asked Finn if Finn would promise to learn to play the guitar if Luke Combs were asking Finn directly. After Finn agreed Tim McGraw handed over the guitar crediting Luke Combs with inspiring Finn to pick up the instrument.

The interaction captured attention online after Tim McGraw shared a video of the moment on media. Luke Combs responded in the comment section with a message of support writing "HELL YEAH!!!!”

A First Concert Experience

Finn’s mother also posted under the video to express her appreciation for the gesture noting that the concert was Finn’s first live show. She shared that Finn’s son had not stopped singing "Where The Green Grass Grows" and described the event as an experience for Finn.

Tim McGraw’s 2026 Pawn Shop Guitar Tour is scheduled to continue through September 26 offering opportunities, for young concertgoers at upcoming dates.
