A Heartfelt Farewell
Reba McEntire posted a message on Instagram:
After Dolly Parton died Reba McEntire honored her friend by posting an Instagram slideshow. The slideshow showed moments from their friendship that go back to the 1980s and included behind-the-scenes memories from Reba McEntires sitcom Reba. Reba McEntire finished her post with the words "I Will Always Love You " a line that echoes Dolly Partons classic 1974 song that Whitney Houston later covered in 1992. Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton have a history of performing together. In 2021 they released a duet called "Does He Love You." Earlier in 2006 Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton shared a stage for a version of Reba McEntires song "How Blue”, on a CMT Giants episode. Songs that tell Dolly Partons life story include "Coat Of Colors" and "My Tennessee Mountain Home." Dolly Parton once said that the song "Seeker" best described her journey.
