After Dolly Parton died Reba McEntire honored her friend by posting an Instagram slideshow. The slideshow showed moments from their friendship that go back to the 1980s and included behind-the-scenes memories from Reba McEntires sitcom Reba. Reba McEntire finished her post with the words "I Will Always Love You " a line that echoes Dolly Partons classic 1974 song that Whitney Houston later covered in 1992. Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton have a history of performing together. In 2021 they released a duet called "Does He Love You."
