Brighton Psych Fest 2026 Overview
Brighton Psych Fest returned for its third consecutive year, transforming multiple music venues across the city into a central hub for independent and emerging talent. The day-long event was organized through a collaboration between JOY concerts and Manchester Psych Fest.

Concorde 2 Showcase
Located on the seafront, Concorde 2 hosted several early sets:
- Karma Sheen: The London-based group opened the stage, delivering 1970s vibes, psych rock, and Hindustani Classical music featuring sitar player Rod Bourganos.
- Bleech 9:3: The Irish grunge/garage rock quartet, formed in late 2025, performed an early set featuring their opening track "Jacky" alongside songs "Ceilings" and "Torniquet."
- Mary in The Junkyard: The London art rock trio took the stage at dusk, featuring melodic tunes led by vocalist Clari Freeman-Taylor and viola instrumentation.
Volks Performance
- Sex Mask: The Australian trio brought a high-energy mix of punk and electronica to Volks. The band performed in the middle of their EU/UK tour following the release of their third EP.
Komedia Basement Set
- Maquina: The Portuguese instrumental trio turned the basement of Komedia into a dancefloor with a high-intensity instrumental performance.
Festival Closing Act
- Lemonsuckr: Brighton's local quartet closed the event with a set blending synth-heavy pop and garage rock. Frontman Guy Ferris led the performance, which included fan-favorite tracks "Rugrat" and "H.E.A.T."
