Pop star Olivia Rodrigo revealed ahead of her headlining performance at the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine, California, that philanthropist Melinda French Gates has doubled the event's charitable impact. The total funds generated for nonprofit organizations supporting women and girls have now reached $20 million.
The inaugural event, held at Great Park on August 29, 2026, initially raised $10 million through ticket sales, waived artist fees, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.
Matching Support for Women and Girls
The initial $10 million gathered from the festival was designated to benefit 10 organizations serving women and girls. On Saturday, Melinda French Gates joined Olivia Rodrigo on stage to reveal that she and her organization, Pivotal, would double that amount dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total sum to $20 million.
