Following the passing of country music icon Dolly Parton on August 25 at age 80, her team has announced a major celebration of her life titled DOLLYFEST. The multi-city event is scheduled to take place across two consecutive weekends in 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee, and London, England.
Originally conceived by Parton as a multi-artist gathering to celebrate her 80th birthday in January 2026, the event has been expanded into a broader tribute honoring her legacy, philanthropy, and career.
Bringing Dolly's Vision to Life
Danny Nozell, Founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises and Parton's longtime manager, confirmed that DOLLYFEST was a project Parton personally initiated and developed. The original plan included Parton hosting and performing, with venues booked before she stepped back due to initial health challenges in August 2025.
Nozell noted that Parton did not desire a traditional memorial service. Instead, her team opted to move forward with her authentic festival concept, giving fans and artists worldwide time to grieve and prepare for the tribute event.
Event Details and Ticketing
Although the event was originally slated to take place in Nashville, the updated 2027 plans expand the celebration to include both Nashville and London. Specific dates for the two consecutive weekends, venue details, the full lineup of participating artists, and ticket information are forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.
Memorial and Legacy
Parton passed away at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville following a brief battle with cancer, as confirmed in a statement shared by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, on behalf of the family. At Parton's request, a small private service was held for immediate family.
She is to be laid to rest at the mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville, Tennessee, alongside her late husband, Carl Dean. Further updates regarding DOLLYFEST schedule and ticketing will be released as details are finalized by her management team.
